Feeling Tired & More Tired

Today was not as productive as I had planned it to be.  Not a good night's sleep  the night before can leave us tired, and some of us even more tired then tired, or so it seems at times.

What I did manage to do is one load of laundry and hang it out.  Oops that just reminded me it still is hanging out there ... damn, damn, and triple damn, I feel too tired to be getting that off, but it just has to be done, just as ... the Crabby Cabbie billing had to be done today since it is the first of a new month (AGAIN).

Which brings to to where in the heck does time slip to?  the older I get, time, seemingly like water slipping through my fingers, goes faster each Year.  Oh for those long Summer days when I was 11 or 12 years old and they seem to linger forever and ever with the prospect of a new School year never getting there soon enough ..... am I the only one who feels this way?  I am pretty sure NOT.

With the bed made, laundry out on the line, billing out of the way, I headed downtown Wiarton to drop off one of the bills in person.  Wiarton was scurrying with people.  The Foodland store was very very busy with locals trying to get their supplies in before it gets even busier tomorrow when the Civic Holiday weekend begins, and with people who have started the holiday weekend early.

With the bill dropped off I headed to Gateway Haven Nursing Home where I popped in to see my Mother.  She had misplaced her change purse so I had gotten her a new one.  When I got to her room she was having a wee catnap.  It does not take much to wake her, almost instantly.  Mother was happy with the change purse I had gotten her.  I told her I would try to get up next week to see her before I left for the East Coast (I am still soooo EXCITED, but not ready yet as there is soooo much I always need to get done).

Finally I made my way home.  What did I do this afternoon?  really not too much of anything whatsoever as I was having a blah, blah, blah day.  However I did spend some time with the Aussies and some one on one time with the little Scamp.

Lots of exploring went on in the great big field with an interesting spot found for some rolling time.  No problem coming when he was called though, as he has not hit his "terrible" early two's yet.

I can not believe nobody has taken any interest in this sweet little guy yet.  Saying a prayer, or two, that a wonderful family comes along to give him his Forever Home soon.

Today was the last day of the Foodland's flyer sale for this week, with the new sales flyer beginning tomorrow.  I thought a little treat was in order since they were on sale.  Just before Rob came home for Dinner I headed down, despite how busy the store was again this afternoon, to pick one up.

A four fruit combination is a really refreshing treat for the cost of $10.00, regular $12.99 I believe.  There had also been a Orchid there marked down to 99 cents, so I thought that would brighten up my surly mood this day.

  4. Yes, Cindy, time does go by in a hurry. We now have been away for over 2 months. We have met lots of interesting people and have heard many of them tell us of their experiences with the closure of the Erie Canal. I was so happy to read the finale to Ian's blog and find out the last part of his trip. One never knows what kind of set back one is going to have when travelling so far. I love your little 99 cent treat. My mom has had one that she has had bloom several times and each time it seems to have more blossoms on it. We are back on the Trent Severn so hope to be hope before another month goes by. Barry wants to see the Tall Ships sail into our Harbour. A friend of mine is going to see them in Owen Sound and has tickets for an actual 90 minute trip on one. Sounds like Wiarton will be hopping this weekend. A friend of mine knows the people who run the Magical Carnival Midway and says they put on a first class midway, very clean with good rides. Hope it is that way in Wiarton. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Alice
